Why the Moon Decides

Bright Nights And Dark Nights Are Different Places

Around new moon the decks are the point: the band of the galaxy, the faint things, the sense of depth. Around full moon the decks are washed out and the ridge is the show instead, so the guided walks move there. The filter above follows that rule.

Reading the Two Filters

Kind is how much is explained to you. Moon is the phase on the night you have in mind; programs that work in any phase stay visible whatever you choose.
